Comparison

Quick Commerce vs WooCommerce

WooCommerce is free, open source and yours to run. For a grocer, that means licensing one plugin for slots, another for COD OTP and more for gift cards, back-in-stock and GST, then hosting, patching and reconciling them. No plugin supplies a picker app. Quick Commerce has nothing to license or patch, and the picker app comes with Growth.

Choose Quick Commerce if you are

Grocers who would rather not license, patch and reconcile a dozen plugins, and want slots, COD OTP and GST or ZATCA invoices on every plan, with picker and driver apps from Growth.

Choose WooCommerce if you are

Teams with WordPress skills who want to own the code and the data, need a plugin combination no hosted platform offers, or want the lowest possible cost to start.

Monthly cost

What the same plan costs on WooCommerce in India

The lowest priced WooCommerce build we could assemble for each plan, from published licence and hosting prices. It’s a floor, not a full cost, and above Starter the gap is small.

  • Starter

    Quick Commerce
    ₹1,999
    WooCommerce floor (est.)
    ≥ ₹7,400

    Hosting ₹1,200 · domain ₹80 · theme ₹208 · delivery slots ₹946 · gift cards ₹579 · back in stock ₹433 · GST plugin from ₹83 · WPML ₹417 · backups ₹292 · security ₹417 · caching ₹408 · COD OTP from ₹213 · setup from ₹1,458 and updates from ₹667, spread monthly

  • Growth

    Quick Commerce
    ₹6,499
    WooCommerce floor (est.)
    ≥ ₹9,880

The Starter floor plus points and rewards ₹1,313 and driver management ₹1,166

  • Scale

    Quick Commerce
    ₹12,999
    WooCommerce floor (est.)
    ≥ ₹11,180

The Growth floor plus managed hosting (about ₹1,300 more)

Estimate as of Sep 2026, from list prices, monthly billing, excluding VAT.

  • These are floors. Photo reviews, stock per location, a discount engine, WhatsApp messaging and a picker app are left out because they couldn’t be priced, and we found no picker plugin at all.
  • Yearly licences are divided by 12 at ₹88 to the dollar; setup (from ₹35,000) is spread over 24 months; updates assume four major releases a year at ₹2,000 each.
  • POS plugins are left out, because our POS is a separate add-on priced per register.
  • On these figures WooCommerce is close to our price on Growth and below it on Scale. Above Starter, our case is the work, not the price: no plugins to license, patch and reconcile.

Where they win

Where WooCommerce genuinely wins

You own it

WooCommerce is open source and self-hosted: you own the code, the database and the server, and no platform can change its terms or prices under you. For a team that wants that control and can run it, that’s a real advantage.

Flexibility without limits

The WordPress plugin directory covers almost anything, and a developer can change any line. WordPress is also still the most mature content system there is, which matters when content marketing is as central as the store.

A low floor

WooCommerce itself is free. By our estimate, a basic grocery build costs more than Starter each month but comes close to Growth and below Scale. If price is the only test above Starter, WooCommerce holds its own.

Where we win

Where Quick Commerce wins

No plugins to license, patch and reconcile

Slots, COD OTP, gift cards, back-in-stock alerts and GST invoices are separate plugins on WooCommerce, each with its own licence, update cycle and settings. Every major update costs developer time, ₹2,000–8,000 each by one India estimate. On Quick Commerce they are one managed system, with nothing to host or patch.

The picker app no plugin supplies

Growth includes a picker app with barcode picking and customer-approved substitutions. We found no WooCommerce plugin that does this at any price.

One order, checkout to door

The slot, the COD check, the picking, the driver’s run and the cash reconciliation all work on the same order record, rather than passing between plugins from different vendors.

Moving from WooCommerce

WooCommerce exports products and orders as CSV, which our bulk import reads directly, including variable products and categories. Our onboarding and migration service moves your catalogue, customers and order history for you. It is a one-time add-on on Starter and Growth and included on Scale.

  1. 1

    Export your catalogue

Products, variations, categories and customers export as CSV.

  2. 2

    Bulk import

The import runs in the background with live progress, category tree included.

  3. 3

    Turn plugins into settings

Slots, COD checks and GST invoices become settings rather than plugins.

  4. 4

    Switch DNS with redirects

Old URLs get a 301 automatically when a URL changes.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Isn’t WooCommerce cheaper?
At Starter, no: our lowest estimate for a WooCommerce grocery build in India is about ₹7,400 a month against ₹1,999. Above that it’s close: about ₹9,880 against ₹6,499 on Growth, and about ₹11,180 against ₹12,999 on Scale (Sep 2026, list prices, excluding GST, before photo reviews, stock per location, WhatsApp and a picker app). Past Starter, the reason to choose us is the work you don’t have to do, not the price.
Is there a picker app for WooCommerce?
We found none. Driver management exists as a paid plugin ($159 a year) with a separate driver app, but no plugin gives a picker a barcode queue with customer-approved substitutions. On Quick Commerce both apps come with Growth.
Do I lose the ability to customise things?
You give up code-level access to the storefront in exchange for a managed system. The Studio editor and settings cover what most merchants use plugins for, and a documented section contract lets a developer extend it when needed.
Is hosting included?
Yes. The platform is managed, so there’s no server, PHP version or plugin update for you to look after.
Do you handle GST invoices for more than one GSTIN?
Yes. GST invoices are issued per location, each with its own GSTIN, on every plan. On WooCommerce that’s a GST plugin (₹2,000–5,000 one-off), and multi-GSTIN support depends on the plugin you choose.
Can I bring my WooCommerce catalogue across?
Yes. WooCommerce’s CSV export, including variable products and categories, imports directly through our bulk import.
